Pratap Public School Organises 29 th Annual Athletic Meet
With a view to instill the sports enthusiasts with physical and mental agility, 29th Annual Athletic Meet was organised in the school campus on 1 February 2025 which was graced by the benign presence of Vice President Ms Deepika Bhatia, Secretary Mr Sanjay Bhatia, Joint Secretary Ms Poonam Bhatia, Director Students Welfare Mr Prateek Bhatia, Ms Chahat Bhatia and Director Principal Ms Poonam Navet. The Chief Guest ‘Sh. Jagmohan Anand’ (MLA, Karnal )and the Guest of Honour ‘Colonel K K Ventkatraman’ also dignified the meet.The event commenced with flag hoisting by the dignitaries followed by synchronized parade presented by NCC Cadets, the Bharat Scouts & Guides along with the selected finalists of all the six houses. The tri-colour balloons released by the authorities festooned the sky.The illuminating torch indicating hope and sustenance was lighted by Colonel KK Venkatraman which symbolised the formal beginning of the meet. The Principal Dr Puja Waalia Mann and the In Charge (Junior Wing) Ms Ritu Seth extended a warm welcome to the august gathering.
Pre-Primary students displayed great enthusiasm on the race tracks while participating in various funny and playful races whereas the strenuous races engaged the marathoners of classes I to V. The playground wore a festive look with 50mt, 100mt, 200mt, 400mt, 800mt races conducted for marathoners of classes VI to XII.Shot Put, High Jump, Long Jump and Relay Race(4*100mt) were the most exciting sport events which enthused the partakers of classes VI to XII.
The cultural show comprising heart throbbing dance performances presented by the troupes of dancers of classes LKG & UKG and blend of Haryanvi and Punjabi dances performed by the students of classes VI to IX filled colours of vibrance in the meet. The students who acclaimed to the Best Athlete Award were Naitik & Sanvi of Class VIII in Sub- Junior Category while Ayush & Lakshita of Class X in Junior Category. Prachi of Class XI and Ranjot of Class XII clinched the Best Athlete Award in Senior Category. The meet culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem .
