Pratap Public School Sec 6 Karnal Students Stage Shakespearean play The Merchant of Venice
With an intent to bring Shakespeare’s classic The Merchant of Venice to life, the play was staged by the students of classes VIII and X, under the guidance of Ms. Divya.
The play featured a vibrant set design that alternated between the bustling Venetian streets and the elegant halls of Belmont. Enhancing the Renaissance atmosphere. The enactment of The Merchant of Venice was a compelling and thoughtful interpretation of Shakespeare’s work. It successfully balanced entertainment with deeper reflections on prejudice, justice, and mercy, leaving the audience with much to ponder.
